The night has fallen,
Heavier than we have ever seen,
And a wall has risen.
They divided Berlin,
And hearts as well.
There were pieces on one side,
And the rest was on other.
There were bricks, one above the other,
All coated with plaster,
And a wall as a whole,
Had divided lives and families,
As a piece of cake.
What a taste of fake!
I visited Berlin, but the wall fell down.
There were scars on the ground,
And deep in the heart as well.
Two blocks much heavier,
Than bricks lined.
And the flakes fell down the ground,
And prepared surprises,
For the next season.
The ground had cloud color,
And we feel like stepping in the sky.
The landscape showed the white,
But I saw a smile colored with gray;
It came from far away,
It was on the Bosnian face.
The cold freezes the lake,
But right there down deep,
And up here,
The life goes on as everything.
Germany is thus,
But is not enough,
And it is not at all;
I went down,
And I went to the south.
There was sun,
And there I was, in Stuttgart.
Tulips and strawberries,
Had adorned my walk.
But it was time to welcome the Eurocup.
Lacked chairs for many Eurofans.
Mugs and more mugs of beer,
Overspread all over the tables.
But the year not belonged to the house,
And those eleven men have not lifted the crown.
And I’ve drank my last beer,
And I went back home.
I left a place,
That for a few days,
It was also my home.
Germany is thus,
It is not just wear typical clothes,
Or drink beer in the mug.
Must go there and be there,
Walk and step that land.
And see two worlds,
The old and the new one,
Walking together as one.
Germany is a world patrimony,
Germany is pure human history.
Germany is a land with past mistakes,
With hits in the present,
And hand in hand, future and present,
Mixing constantly.
Germany is like child’s heart,
It is quite small and tight,
But right there inside,
Fits a whole world and all kinds of lives.
And the more people, the better… it’s not lie!
